Introduction

I'm no expert in the kitchen -- I have a few basic dishes in my repertoire, and that's about it. I decided to improve my culinary skills a bit by working through a few cookbooks and some online resources. But I also wanted to memorialize the process in some way, to both reinforce what I was learning as well as make it easy to refer back to earlier recipes, how they turned out, etc.

It seemed the easiest way to do this was in the form of a blog. I may be the only person who ever looks at this, or perhaps some other folks might be interested as well. It'll be interesting to see how it develops. :-)
